Welcome to Wildwood
Home is the Free State of Van Zandt and Wildwood German Shepherds.

People and animals cohabitate here under the trees. Wood ducks whistle in the marsh each morning, pileated woodpeckers go to work way up in the white oaks, and the call of the whip-por-wil puts us to bed each night. The otter and the fox share trails in the underbrush while curious whitetail deer and bashful bobcats acknowledge one another in passing. Sometimes they acknowledge us, too.

On the rocky hill overlooking wildwood pond we share our home with the kings of these woods, the world-class German Shepherds of Wildwood. Our dogs represent some of the finest bloodlines in Europe, but they're raised as Texans. They are meticulously selected and trained here. They are beautiful, strong, and intelligent. They have a superior temperament, and they are socialized with children and other animals. Most importantly, they are loved and cared for. They have our hearts.

We are Neal and Amanda Weaver and sons Kolten and Ivy. We work and we play and we worship, not always in that order, and we share our lives with our dogs. None of us have ever known life without them, and we never would want to. After all, our two species have come through the millennia together. They are with us still as loyal companions, fierce protectors, faithful servants, uncompromising friends. They watch over us, entertain us, curl up beside us, and face whatever the next millennia holds - right alongside their people.

Perhaps a Wildwood German Shepherd will bless you and your home someday as they have blessed ours. One thing is for certain, if they do you will get all the love you could ever want or wish for.
We think that is what life is all about.
